See https://reddit.com/r/petitefashionadvice and the subreddit r/capsulewardrobe has threads about petite fashion. Youtube probably has more videos petite fashion over 50. Perhaps using different search terms brings up more useful tips.

I had no idea that there is a petite plus size.

The meaning of "petite" is small/short/slim. So petite plus would mean to me super small, super short, very slim. Not short and chunky.

Petite is typically defined in the retail world as 5'4" and under. Someone who is under 5'4" has very different proportions than someone who is 5'10", and the issues can't always be addressed by simply shortening the length. It is very possible to be under 5'4" and plus size.

Used to be a lot of size 2 and 4 petites to be found in stores. Not so much anymore, most sizes are larger all around.

I haven't been a size 2 or 4 in some time but I think I'm getting shorter.
