I spotted a tan Lands End utility jacket years ago when it was in their catalog. It had a hood which could be hidden in a zippered compartment, four front pockets with metal snaps, but the selling point for me was the drawstring tie waist. More flattering, not the typical shapeless version. It was a bit pricey, might have been over $100, so I thought I'd gamble it would still be available on sale later. Well, I lost that bet. Ever since, every so often I would check Ebay and Poshmark, hoping someone had it for sale.
Today my patience paid off -- I just bought it for $10 on Poshmark !!! It appears to be in perfect condition, too.
I am still searching for another pair of my favorite slip-on Keds that are falling apart.
I have probably two dozen purses/bags, but only one is my all time favorite. I had it for many years, used (and abused) daily to the point that it became unsuitable to be carried in the public.
I reconditioned the leather several times but finally had to let it go.
Over the last year or so, I frequently spent some time looking for it on all those ^^^ resale places and some.
Since it became a vintage item, I lost hope to ever find it.
Then last week - bingo!!! I found it listed as never used on eBay!! Imagine my excitement!!
I found it!!! So happy!! It wasn't cheap, but who cares - darn purse made my day
It's already in my possession and set to be used, starting tomorrow.
No pre-worn clothes for me. If it is new with tags, then okay. We went into a Poshmark just once and it seemed like a junk store to us so we won't go back. I'd buy a new handbag on eBay if I could ever find one that I like.

There are new ones on EBay but handbangs get trashed so fast, I've never minded buying used.
Has anyone had good luck buying vintage jewelry on EBay? I kind of hate doing it that way, and risking a fake stone or entirely faked piece.
Timberland steel toe work boots, brand new, ebay. I think they were $10 + shipping. Bought them 20 years ago, have repaired the heels but I think my feet are experiencing mid-aged spread and they are not as comfortable as they used to be.
I regularly buy pants/jeans from ebay. I got 2 pairs of nearly new LLBean cargo pants off ebay for $70 shipped and a pair of their flannel lined pants for $22!

Poshmark is only online. You might have gone into a ThredUp which is online and brick and mortar. You can get new with tags items on Poshmark if you specifically search for them. I've gotten great bargains in preworn stuff though. Almost all of my cashmere sweaters and Ralph Lauren is preworn from Poshmark.
