Sure, but again, you run the risk of "fixing" it right into the trash.
I don't have a problem with that. I'd rather get crafty and maybe get something I like than just get rid of a garment.

For instance, my cute gray jeans printed with roses faded in streaks. I used color remover, which turned them an orangey tan. I dyed them blue, but they were just ugly. I don't remember if they were good enough for goodwill or if they just went in the trash. It was worth a shot.

You know...that's kind of my attitude about most creative endeavors. I might very well mess it up, but if nothing else, it's a learning experience. LOL
A few years ago, I worked on a craft project using Unicorn Spit. Everything went exactly right...except I didn't like the finished project. lol
Not really. I love DIY, but I'll give it a pass if it has a high unlikelihood of not working out (thus costing me extra money and time, on top of what I just spent on the modification, to replace the thing anyway-- not to mention the disappointment) or ruining the thing I'm trying to DIY (I'm not fond of waste).
