I jusy wondered if anyone else has went to get their hair cut sat down and ask what kind of cut would be good with their face size. Then watch the stylist face go empty. I have a fat face and I have asked that time and time again thinking that after going to Beauty School or whatever they could give advise. When I do get my hair cut it never fails then one side is different them the other. I live in Michigan not that this should make a difference than any other place. I watch these shows on TV where they go and get cuts and coloring and look really good and I can't even get a question answered.
What you should maybe do is find another salon. Find out which ones have won any awards like "best of the city" or whatnot, or where the employees attend coventions, etc. Those are the ones who make more effort to stay... a cut above the rest

I agree...I mean, my husband can go to a Wal-Mart salon, get a trim & be just fine. But I WOULD NOT get my hair cut, colored or styled at a salon where all you need to get the job is a way to bluff yourself through everyday making some people believe that you really know what you are doing.
I would go to an upper-end salon if you haven't already. If you are looking for some good, true advice then be willing to pay a bit more & don't forget to tip!
I think an angled bob would be great. I have a round face also, with chubby cheeks and my stylist mentioned it would be a nice cut. Keep it sleek with layers, longer in the front (maybe just past the chin). The layers become much shorter and shorter as you move towards the neck. I think it looks super cute as it gets very short in the back. You can also do things with it to keep it fun, different parts, pin pieces back, or even add some chunky highlights.
Google Angled bob..
