The skirts attached to leggings are very short. Women 65+ look like 45 yo wannabes in very short skirts, even over leggings. Why not just wear a longer top over them?
I personally don't see much point in the skirts, as I typically just wear longer tops with leggings. But I suppose for people who want to wear more fitted, wicking workout tops, the skirts do provide extra coverage.
I work out at a gym where there are lots of Old men and women. The Old men wear shorts and T-shirts, usually very worn T-shirts with slogans or ads on them. The Old women wear gym clothes, either leggings or shorts. Some of them have no figure at all, but who cares? And what else are they supposed to wear?
I'm just THRILLED we don't have those FUGLY velour track suits that seniors wore to the gym when I was in my 30s!

I have a very long torso, and even "longer" tops aren't long enough. I like skirted leggings because I don't have to constantly tug a top down over my bubble butt.
I don't pay attention to what other people are wearing, or how old they are. Live and let live, and mind your own business.
MYOB doesn’t apply to thoughts. I can look at anyone and have a bad opinion of how they are dressed. As long as I don’t say anything to them, I certainly have the right to think they look terribly silly in some outfit that is way too young for their age.
I have a 70 year old neighbor who wears long bright blue feather earrings (and other clothes suitable for a 30 year old). She looks ridiculous but I never say anything. But I do think it. I guess clothes are important to me.

I see leggings on almost every woman these days but not on older women. Would it look "funny" to see a 65+ woman wearing skirted black leggings for race walking in a park?
No.....
