Hi,
What are some high quality work shoes for people who have to stand and work on their feet all day long for a living?
Thank you

"work shoes" could be a wide variety of things. Indoors? Outdoors? Office environment or osha approved safety shoe required? Are dress shoes of some kind required or are tennis shoes allowed? etc.

It depends on what type of shoe is required by your workplace and what type of shoe you personally find most comfortable.

For steel toed safety shoes, I personally find Red Wing the most comfortable since they come in narrow widths and have the smaller women's sizes available. I've had decent luck with Doc Martens as well over the years. Both brands hold up pretty well; neither one is particularly cheap to buy.

For shoes that don't need any special safety features to them it's pretty funny what I prefer. I've found some very cheap shoes that are wonderfully comfortable to walk around all day in:

I've previously worn LL Bean comfortably as well.

You can also look at cushion insoles for your shoes; some people say those have helped.

For being on my feet all day, I like Sam Edelman.

I probably have 20 pair of his shoes.

My 2 favorites, the new balance work/walker. Look for endcap or fresh foam.

Die-hard aka Sears work boot. The classic brown boot last forever!

Allegria and Dansko are supposedly popular with those in the medical field.

Others: Clarks, Naturalizer, Earth, Aerosoles, Easy Spirit, Bare Taps, SAS Comfort Shoes, Vionic.

Until the OP comes back and say what kind of work -- and therefore the characteristics of the work shoe desired -- we're all just guessing about what to suggest.

I'll add in Doc Martens, Birkenstock, and for outdoor work, Ariat boots.
