A big Don't would be wearing a red dress on this particular evening. (Looking at you Blanca Blanco. P.S., your concealer is about 3 shades too light for you too)

-Frances McDormand was acting squirrely again. And she looked like a nun who just rolled out of bed and forgot her wimple.

- Don't expect to see much "fashion" by women who allow themselves to be told--by other women-- how to dress.

-Carol Burnett, Shirley Maclaine...osteoporosis sucks.

-Kirk Douglas...as Katharine Hepburn once said, We all just rot away, and it's too bad we do.

-The best-looking thing I caught a glimpse of on this show was Jim Brolin. Poor guy.

-I missed In Memoriam, dammit.

The Golden Globes Awards show doesn't feature an In Memoriam segment.

I liked Reese Witherspoon's dress. It was just classic.
I thought Millie Bobby Brown looked adorable, too. Her dress was fun, but I know some would hate it.

Wasn't a fan on Kelly Clarkson or Angelina Jolie

My only issue with Millie Bobby Brown is that a lot of times her Red Carpet choices are very fashion-forward but often too mature for a 13 year old. She also poses like she's trying to look much older than she is. I know all the fame she's getting is quite intoxicating, but I wish she wouldn't try to rush growing up too much. I always thought Keirnan Shipka (particularly back in her Man Men days) is a great example of a young rising star who is very fashion forward but keeps things pretty age appropriate without looking too juvenile.

I thought Allison Janney looked flawless. She did the black thing, but kept her look fun. I think embellishments (like hers and Saorise Ronan's) were definitely the way to go to keep the black from looking too funereal.

Susan Sarandon could have done better. She looked like she just rolled out of bed without brushing her hair. I think there is a way to wear a suit and a way not to and she was the not.

I loved Reeses dress, Oprahs dress, Penelope Cruzs dress. I liked Catriona Balfs look.

Frances Macdormand or however you spell it....shameful!
Sarah Jessica Parker awful.
Angelina Jolie looks like she is dying .

Don't have TV, and I didn't watch, so I can only go by the pictures posted in the fashion and gossip rags today.

My random thoughts:

MISSES

Halle Berry.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...pet-arrivals#7
Not a fan of that hair. And the dress is an awkward length on her. She can do, and has done, much better.

Kerry Washington.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...et-arrivals#29
The shoes...why? Explain yourself, Kerry.

Catherine Zeta-Jones.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...et-arrivals#11
Isn't CZJ getting a little long in the tooth for this kind of getup? Internet age stats have her at 49...so I'm assuming she's closer to 52 or 53. Not saying she needed to go the Ann Dowd or Helen Mirren route, but this dress is the kind of attention thirsty stunt usually employed by the likes of J Lo or a Kardashian. I know people are gonna jump in and say "She looks good in it, so why not?", and it's true...she looks good...I'm pretty sure she would look good in a bikini...but this kind of thing doesn't seem to be her usual style (high elegance and old Hollywood glamour), so it seems odd.

America Ferrera, Natlie Portman.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...et-arrivals#19
America's blazer looks sloppy. Her dress actually looks kind of gorgeous. She should have just worn it as a standalone. If you're gonna do the quirky contrast-a-fancy-dress-with-a-blazer thing, I mean...that's always tricky. It didn't work here. Lose the blazer, America! As for Natalie Portman...that dress is so dour. And she is so gorgeous. Why are you trying to hide your light under a bushel, Natalie? You are in your mid 30s and dressing like someone in her 60s. Get together with CZJ and see if you can't split the difference.

Sarah Jessica Parker.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...pet-arrivals#4
SJP in a tutu-esque dress, cosplaying as Carrie Bradshaw 2018. Come aaaaaahn.

Elisabeth Moss.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...et-arrivals#27
Elisabeth Moss cosplaying as Peggy Olson 2018. Come aaaaaahn.

HITS

Zoe Kravitz.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...pet-arrivals#3
Love the pixie. Love the simplicity of that dress. Love the lip and the earrings.

Issa Rae.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...et-arrivals#34
That dress isn't really my style, and I don't like that necklace with it, but Issa Rae has that It Girl thing going on lately that just makes me want to wear what she's wearing.

Naomi Campbell.
https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/gold...pet-arrivals#8
I really like her dress. I think some kind of an up-do would've looked better with it, but I'm sitting here typing this in yoga pants, a hoodie, and my hair tied up in a for-face-washing-only, fugly scrunchie, so maybe I should just let the OG supermodel do what she will.

Also, HITS:

Laurie Metcalf.
https://imgur.com/yAjIi6n
I love Aunt Jackie, so I may be biased, but her dress/pants thing was the only one that I really liked. I didn't like Debra Messing's so much. I think Laurie Metcalf looks great here. Really modern and chic.

Roseanne Barr.
https://imgur.com/0LKs9z3
Yeah, that's right. Roseanne Barr. Great dress (fit, cut, style). Great makeup. Great hair (whether colored, or in full silver goddess mode). Great plastic surgery. And I don't mean that with any snark whatsoever. Roseanne has had some highly publicized work done on her face. Well...she's one of the few who have done it right. The nip/tucking actually did improve her looks, and without looking unnatural. She's 65 and her face looks better than actresses in their 40s (and some even in their 30s) who have just clearly over-done it and look cat-faced or like The Joker.

I thought Gal Gadot looked fabulous. I also thought Meryl Streep wore a very flattering gown and she also looked fabulous.
