They may reapply their lipstick. Women are always in bathrooms reapplying lipstick, wherever I go.
There are lipsticks made to stay for hours. I wouldn't use them every day, since they may contain something unhealthy. But for occasional use, that'll work.
Lipstick looks horrible on me. I wish I could wear it well so that it showed in pics. But it draws attention to the lower half of the face, and I have those nasolabial folds and a small mouth, so it's like having a big colorful arrow on my face drawing attention to the most unattractive features.
If your eyeshadow doesn't show in pics, you may be wearing it properly. Eyeshadow shouldn't be so strong that it shows up well in pics. Also, it may be the shape of your eyes or eyelids. You ever notice Renee Zellweger and other actresses with sort of droopy eyelids? Eyeshadow doesn't show up well on them, because there's no visible space showing between their lash line and the crease above their eyes. Same with Catherine Zeta Jones. People with eyes like that have to be more creative with eye color, for it to show. Colored eyeliner, both upper and lower lash lines. A touch of color at the outside corner of each eye (I noticed Glen Close had this color trick in a movie). People with eyes like that are creative with color AND they emphasize the eyelashes more.
That’s called hooded or mature eyes. Basically you have to create depth. The light color goes all over, the crease color goes on your brow bone, the darkest color on your outside corner and blend well. Lots of videos about this.
Take a lip liner close to the color of your lipstick and line your lips; then fill in your lips with the lip liner.
Apply your lipstick and allow it to dry for a couple of minutes.
Blot your lips with a tissue.
Take a thin tissue and place it over your lips and with a powder brush fluff some translucent powder over your lips.
This is a really old trick and it made me blink a little when my nieces were lecturing me on how to "properly" apply lipstick
I tried this method while running errands. It works but it is lot of steps & it dries my lips & makes them look smaller unless I top it off with lipstick or gloss.
you are showing liquid lipstick. i have not tried those in years. do they have better staying power than typical lipsticks? you know those in tubes?
I use the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit matte liquid and it stays on forever. I don't find it as drying as Cover Girl long-lasting liquid, which requires a gloss over it.
Yes, the new matte liquids definitely stay on longer than tube lipsticks.
I haven't tried the really good, expensive lipsticks because I've never really been much of a lipstick person mainly for the reasons that you put forward. The one 'regular' brand of lipstick that I found actually stays on.. even thru eating if you're a bit careful.. is Revlon Colorstay. The one in the tube with a wand in it. And I definitely have to use a lip liner with it. Another one that actually stays on for me with just a little touch up now and then is Maybelline 14 hr.
I have tried lipstain and I can't stand it. It might work for others but not so much for me. One mistake putting it on and ugh.. difficult to remove.
Lip Primer. Lip Insurance by Too Faced is great, my lipstick stays put all day
My eyeshadow doesn't show up well in pics either. Good photo/video makeup will look way too cakey and extra in person. With eye primer and pigmented shadow you can get a more dramatic look though.
Thanks, I just bought the Too Faced primer and it works pretty good.
I really recommend COVER GIRL OUTLAST. It honestly will last a good 6 hours ( with no eating) and I don't find it drying at all. I have been using it for years and am always very pleased.
Honestly I would not worry about lipstick. I hate to have lipstick on when eating, so I actually take it off as soon as the food arrives and then reapply if needed (although sometimes I forget and somehow no one really cares). Wear what is more moisturizing and feels comfortable and you'll thank me later.

I frequently do the same. But.. my friend or my mom wouldn't be caught dead without their lipstick.
My mom has had several surgeries in the past few yrs. One of us has to be waiting just outside of recovery with 2 things before they can wheel her out into the hallway and to her room. Her teeth and her lipstick.
Like me with my mascara.
