Women, what would you consider worse? (look, clothes, thin)

Do you think it would be worse having to go out in public with the worst hair day ever, or go out in public wearing ugly, mismatched, raggedy tore up clothes and look like a bum?

The latter. Most people don't notice your hair and its variations and intricacies as closely as you do, as I've discovered.
Clothing for sure!! Bad hair isn't necessarily a reflection of style. Rain, humidity and wind can make the best looking hair go to bad hair in an instant.
I came here to check out a thread I almost forgot about and saw this one. It's an interesting question because I don't care either way. I've gone out in public looking all disheveled before. Usually it's when I'm doing heavy cleaning, yard work, or DIY repairs and improvements.
I guess I'd pick hair because I wouldn't notice my own clothes, but messed up hair might fall in my face or otherwise irritate me.
Odd question, what is the point? But my clothes would bother me more. No one cares about hair in my neighborhood anyways ( or clothes for that matter judging by the attire at a certain chain store. W.M.)
It might be humorous to see people's reactions to the "bum" look, but I suppose going out in torn up clothing would bother me more than a terrible hair day.
