For me, it is jeans, a work shirt, and Red Wing boots.
"Style" is, IMO, a highly over-rated concept. Take, for instance, the "style" of wearing jeans that are full of ragged holes. Keep in mind that those holes are not even placed where jeans would normally get holes after years of wear; they are just randomly placed.
"Style" is scraping your face every morning.
"Style" is buttoning your collar and tieing a noose around your neck.
"Style" is wearing a suit (or even worse, a tuxedo).
No, thanks, for me it is my comfort, all day, every day! I don't even own a traditional necktie, or a suit, and certainly not a tuxedo!
style doesn't have to include those things. You can be stylish in jeans and a tshirt. though I do shave because my beard is not thick enough and doesnt look good on me, bears can be very stylish and trendy. suits/tuxedos are only one slim sliver of the 'style' pie for guys.
This! My wardrobe is mostly stretchy, pull-over type dresses that I can wear with sandals or wedge heels in the summer and opaque tights and boots in the winter. I'm always comfy and I get compliments for my cute outfits. Added bonus, most of them fit great over my 8-month pregnant belly!
I never found tights (or panty hose) comfortable-which is why I don't wear dresses in the winter. But, you have given me some food for thought. We travel to the tropics in the winter. Maybe I can live with tights/leggings for a bit while be comfortable on a 4 hour flight. And I can remove them (or put them on) as the weather dictates. They maybe more comfortable than my bluejeans.
For decades it was style. But now, it's totally comfort, plus I live in CO, where no one dresses up. I actually miss dressing up, but I don't miss the painful high heels & tight constricting clothing.
Comfort b/c of my size. You can't be large and stylish, because it is contrarian. I'd prob be more comfortable in all clothes if I was skinny like most people.
I would say both. Typically I d/o not wear jeans. It is either work out clothes or dresses. Of course, for work I do wear dress/skinny pants when not wearing a dress.
