Victoria's Secret, the lingerie company that introduced the Very Sexy bra, the Fantasy Bra and the Internet server-crashing fashion show, has become "too sexy" for its own good, its top executive said.

"We've so much gotten off our heritage ... too sexy, and we use the word sexy a lot and really have forgotten the ultra feminine," said Sharen Turney, Victoria's Secret's chief executive, in a call with industry analysts.

I pretty much agree. I've been a Victoria's Secret customer since the 90s and the company in recent years has changed too much. It's all about sex now because that's what sells. That lingerie is sexy is a no-brainer. Duh. I started to tune out when they marketed the "VERY SEXY" perfume lines.

Actually, I agree too that V.S. focuses too much on "sexy". I love the Secret Embrace Bra and it's my absolute favorite, but that is pretty much the only thing (other than their hair care products, but that's for another conversation) that I buy there. I'm a young "mature" woman (a 50 something that's not over the hill yet!) and I find their items geared towards much, much younger women. I would like to have feminine lingerie that actually fits and feels comfortable while looking great (not "mom" cotton underware). I can't wear their panties because they are so uncomfortable (unless you weigh 110 lbs!).

So....I would look forward to what they come up with! Don't they realize that the baby boomers have the most expendable income and are the largest segment of our population?

Introducing the latest Victoria's Secret collection: Grandma Wear!

Dual-Action Panties. These panties sit high, right where Grandma wants. They even have a specially designed Upper-Wire designed to help hold the girls on days they don't feel like wearing a bra.

Magic-Bras! When the bra is on, everyone can see those nice and perky girls. Once it comes off... where did they go?!

The collection will come in the following colors: Bleach White, Ivory White, Pale White, Bright White, and White.

They remodeled the VS store nearest me, and it's so ugly now I won't even go in it. The walls are bright white, with hot pink accents. The lighting is too bright, and the whole front section of the store appears to be selling make-up only. I haven't used my VS card in years, I was thinking about cancelling it. I haven't liked their lingerie in years, either. I preferred VS back in the good 'ole days.

Ive always liked that the quality of their things are worth the money. But theyre a bit out of my price range, so Kmart is the next best thing. Only problem with that, is you can never find matching sets of anything decent there.

And what about the super-duper sized soft-core porn pics in the VS windows at the mall LOL.

I agree, they're not realistic; more like 'fantasy gone wild'.
Sex sells but they have to have some practical things that people can wear and do something to ensure people will keep buying their products.
