I double pierced when I was 14 and added a 3rd when I was 18 - in the 90s. I only wear one set of small diamond studs now and wish I'd never done the others. You can still see the holes but I can't get an earring though
I have two sets in mine but seldom use the second ones, mainly because they're a lot more sensitive. I do sometimes "poke" a post through them to prevent them from closing up.
Once in a while I wear two pairs of hoops. Love the look.
I have regular pierced ears but had a second piercing done on one ear only. The 2nd piercing was always very sensitive and always on the verge of closing up where I had to poke my earring through every time I put an earring in. Finally I just let it close.
I have 3 and upper cartilage in left, two on the right. After having the first holes done at age 7, I became, in high school, the 'piercing buddy' of any guy friend who wanted one ear done like was popular back then. They'd get their one, and I'd get another one.
I usually don't wear earrings anymore though. Too lazy. :P
...or one triple-pierced. Fashionable back in the 90s. Tacky now?
You do what YOU want! Tacky is worrying about what others think. Trends are a joke these days. EVERYTHING has been done already, so just do what YOU like. People are going to judge, but they are morons anyway. No one really cares and if they do, they aren't worth knowing.
I had one ear triple pierced in the 1980s, the other is single pierced. I don't know whether it's popular again to do it, but mine isn't going anywhere. I wear 2 teeny diamond studs in the upper holes and never take them out - I've even had surgery with general anesthesia and they left those studs in. Even in the still pretty conservative legal field, it's never been an issue.

Me, too. I could probably still get one through that extra hole but... I don't usually.
Better than those hideous GAGE things that turn earlobes into strings of flesh!! Only in African tribes is that considered beautiful. Heck, there men do that to their ... um... well, they weight it down and stretch it. Interesting experiment if you can walk around naked all day with a weight tied to your willy.
had my first piercings in 1973, 2nd in 1977 and 3rd in about 1997..... i would either wear studs in the 2nd and 3rd and whatever earrings in the first or progressively smaller gold hoops in each.....
Haven't worn ANY earrings in probably 5 or 6 years now and not even sure that the holes are still open, particularly the 3rds......
I had my ears pierced when I was younger and I haven't worn earrings since elementary or middle school. If I wanted to, I could just push earrings through again b/c you can still see where it was pierced and they never completely close up---just partially.
My dad didn't understand why I got my industrial, aside from the fact that he thought it was stupid , because I never wore earrings. I have had my industrial for a long time now. I still wonder at what age I will take it out---same for my belly ring.
