Have always had long/ish hair---even at 61, it's down to my shoulders---and according to this short hair isn't good for me, with a long face. With a pencil under your chin, you measure from your earlobe to the pencil. If it's 2.25" or longer, short hair isn't flattering. Do y'all agree with this?

If you can look good with a ponytail, then you can go short. Where the bottom of your hairline goes, should be a flattering place. You don't want to emphasize a double chin, heavy jawline, chin acne, etc... If you have a heavier jawline, don't have the hair end there.
