Rectangle is a general category--it is not LITERALLY a rectangle, the same way people don't have faces that are literally square or heart-shaped. The length and width of his face approximates a rectangle more than the other shapes. The vertical line from his temples to his jaw is pretty straight, moreso than an oval person's face. Oval faces are more common in women and he is a man with a masculine rectangular face.
