Many women flaunt when they think they have the body beautiful when in fact they get the rolling of eyes, shaking of head and some chuckles. Unforunately the flaunters may become victims of a predator. I have seen some sights myself and its been in the school systems when attending a program and women sitting in front with stretch pants too tight and too small and you get to see the butt crack that goes down to china. Actually video taped it when at a function.

Actually, that proves my point. If women responded to visual erotic stimulus in the same way as men, there would be the same or an equivalent pornography market for women. There is pornography for women, but the main portion of that market is literary, not visual.

That's why the book "50 Shades of Gray" was a runaway hit with women, but the movie not so much.

Ralph, this is an excellent point.

We just dont respond, en masse, the same way as men do, to visual stimuli.

Anyhow, my opinion as a woman is that if you're wearing something tight, you want someone to look. I personally am more conservative in my dress style and am very conscientious (b/c I have an hour glass figure) of how I dress and present myself once I leave my apartment. At home, I wear whatever I want. In public, it takes more of an effort b/c so many clothes these days seem tailored to be stretchy, spandex, and/or cleavage/bottom enhancement. Sigh...

I have no doubts about porn being geared towards men and men responding more to porn for various reasons. I do know that many woman are stimulated visually by sexily dressed men, and you refuse to see my point. You are entitled to your opinion and I have mine.

I still say that many women respond visually to men and vice versa. There are all kinds of women in this world. Some dress sexy, some don't. Some like sexily dressed men, and some don't. Women have thoughts that aren't shared for a variety of reasons and I refer you to read the Kinsey book about female sexuality to widen your view point.

I can see your points, but you can not see others and seem determined to "win" so our discussion seems moot.

You don't respond to seeing an attractive sexually dressed male on the street? That's what we were discussing before Ralph interjected porn. Those are very, very different things.

I do, but it's more of a 5 second "oh, he's handsome" type of response. It's very transient.

Is this noticeable to most men, or am I just getting older and finding younger women less accessible, hence getting distracted in a different way? I'm 50+, for reference.
I'm also 50 something, and I remember growing up in my teen years when all girls wore miniskirts, later hot pants, tube tops, and halter tops - and string bikinis at the beach. Guys walked around fairly often with no shirt on hot days, and at the beach they wore trunks that were much shorter than the half-pants they wear now (often swimming with shirts on, too!).

Things have become more reasonable in the last coupla year, back to miniskirts thank God, and not so many multiple layers of clothing. But still, Vodoven, you must have grown up in a very different region than I did (central upstate NY).

Sure they are. Up for bid to the largest A male. Bidding, purchasing comes in many different formats. Taking a girl out, dinner, clubs, drinks, hotel room, expensive stuff.

Competition. I think women do it more for other women than they do it for men. Sure, some of that is comfortable but I think women put the make up on and dress the way they do just for competition. Women, both single and in serious relationships, have said they do what they do moreso for other women.
