I have dozens of this style of JM top from Macy's. All 3/4 sleeve and a wide variety of patterns and colors. I've collected them over the past several years (I'm a type 3 personality and "collect" lol!). After a eye-opening/soul-searching stint on Pinterest after the first of this year I've been re-thinking my style. Now I can't think of how to incorporate these tops into a more hip/chic wardrobe. Is it even possible, or should I consign them and walk away?

Thanks!!

If I no longer want things, I donate them for the tax credit.

Good advice!

It's not that I no longer want them as much as I just don't see how to wear them in a updated fashion - or if that is even possible. I've taken to referring to them as my "old lady" tops - lol!

Lol you not far off, I think they are equivalent of mom jeans, so these are mom tops. honestly cant come up with anything that would make them hip. And I don't think investing more money to make this top work will get you results you looking for

Save them for when you're an old lady. Seriously. I bought a bed jacket when I was in my 40s because it was pretty but never wore it because it was too "old-ladyish." Now that I'm an old lady I love it and wear it every morning when I'm sitting up in bed reading my emails.

Yup - that is the conclusion I'm coming to as well. I even tried to layer them with. While interesting, it still didn't rock the way I hoped it would.

Bed jackets are eternally elegant and cool!! Don't think I can say the same for these polyester & spandex tops - lol!

Hm not a fan of the top. I just dont like where the 3/4 sleeve actually hits the arm or neckline either. I think theyd work well with dark wash skinny jeans and boots or a nice sandel maybe? Otherwise, thats about it..

Nah... most old ladies I know, myself included, wouldn't wear polyester/spandex tops. WAY too hot! A cotton or cotton blend is MUCH preferred.
