Black and brown together mostly looks bad and is a fashion pet peeve of mine.

Looks like the person just had to wear their favorite footwear that day and couldn't wait until they had the outfit to coordinate with it!

Black and brown are a thing, depending on how you do it. Mostly black with brown accents/accessorizing, for example. Black with brown boots, a brown belt and a black/brown handbag. Add a brown hat. That can work, if they're all the same shade of brown or tan.

If your other clothes/accessories pull the brown and the black together it looks fine.

If you're ONLY wearing brown boots and black leggings you have bigger issues than matching, lol.

Agree!! For example I would not wear brown boots, black leggings and a purple top.
There would have to be brown, cream, beige somewhere in the top or a scarf to pull it together for me

If the brown is more light color and not dark, I think it would look fine. Dark brown with black, no IMP.
