I much prefer a cardigan sweater to a jacket. I like longer lengths, though, so I've never favored twin sets, even though they look great on other women. Men do seem to prefer pull-over sweaters to cardigans. I wonder why.

I never knew men wear cardigins. I'm a fan of woolen sweaters over collared shirts.

Cardigans are inefficient though. They allow a lot of heat to escape thus defeating the purpose. I like the old fashioned shirts that have 3 or 4 buttons at the neckline. What are those called? I can wear a pocket t shirt underneath and still have acsess to my pen in my pocket.

For females, the 3-4 button shirts would allow for exposure to all-important cleavage, but doubtless a cardigan would be even better in that regard for those who dare to take advantage.

Yep, cardigans are great for when your shirt is wrinkled, say, you forgot to iron it!

Or, to cover up underarm wetness stains----won't help with the smell, though!

If you suddenly develop a tear or stain on your only decent shirt and are running late, cardigan to the rescue

Yep, I think cardigans belong in every wardrobe

I use them the most to stretch my wardrobe. A summer sundress can become wearable year-round if paired with cardigan and tights. Most of the time I wear cardigans, it's over something sleeveless.

I like them. A nice, classier alternative to a fleece or hoodie. They are versatile as well. You can wear them with jeans, slacks, or corduroy.

My 24 year old son has one, he looks super sharp in it.

If I could find them in all manner of fabrics and colors I'd probably live in them. Love my "coverups"! LOL

Henleys? To me, one of the best things about cardigans is that they add some warmth without having to be pulled over the head ("don't mess with the hair"- trying to quote Travolta). Also, they too can be left partly fastened - some of us guys might want to show part of a nice shirt underneath, and that also adjusts the warmth.

I'm a guy who wears cardigans often. Sometimes a simple black cotton one, and sometimes a heavy charcoal-colored mock-neck wool one from Express. That one's super warm.

They're a good classic style for sure.
