Last weekend I shaved my beard into a mustache as a joke. I had watched that movie "Her" and told my GF that I was going to start dressing like joachim phoenix in that movie. My sister is visiting this week and both my sister and GF said that I look good with the mustache, as have my aunts. My cousins just laughed at it but don't seem repulsed. It seems like there are some guys who are permanently associated with mustaches, like Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds.
The question is, if the mustache looks fine on you, should you keep it? Or is it always viewed as sort of ridiculous if you aren't a member of the highway patrol?

If it looks good on you, why not keep it? A mustache never goes out of style, but some guys don't look good in one. As long as it's trimmed and neat, I don't see a problem.
So OP shaved beard and left mustache - jeesh - how poorly worded was that post? If you like your mustache, keep it.
