So...

I take it an anti-bullying poster made with insult tees, or pictures of them, would not work. I wish I had a better perception of how kids, and maybe people in general, think. It seems like I'm out of touch with most people.

I have a t-shirt that reads: "Stupidity is not a crime. You are free to go."

I wear it in very casual settings (e.g., walking dogs, cleaning out the car, strolling around my 'hood, MAYBE to Target), and at least one person always laughs and tells me they wish they had one.

If I were going to hold a discussion with kids about it or use it as a teaching tool, I would focus on the communications side. What stated message is being sent? What implicit message is being sent? What do you think the wearer of the shirt is hoping to convey? What do you think readers take from it? Do you identify with the wearer or the reader? What opinion do you have of the wearer? If you saw that person in [the exact opposite apparel], what would you think of that person?

P.S. Ha! Just remembering: I used to have the old Far Side Midvale School for the Gifted t-shirt with the kid pushing on the door that is clearly marked "pull." So my snark clearly goes both ways.
