I was a bridesmaid in '65, '72, and in '97, and the dresses were never paid by the bride. Now, for the first two weddings the bride did buy the necklaces for us to wear, and provide us with a photo. The bride in '97 did neither, and perhaps they don't do it anymore, I don't know.

I paid for my rented tux as best man. I wasn't sure how it would work, but when I went and got fitted, I figured it out lol. I didn't really care.

Always set some money aside from the first wedding to be used towards the next wedding.
