I've gone to a few consults because I'm having the procedure done as well. I'm about 99.9% sure that I'll be going with the gel implants. I did a side by side feel of them and the silicone and there is just no comparison in terms of feel and more importantly, safety.
My gut feeling is a woman should take a man along wih her for the tactile test. I suggest a guy who cares not for fake boobs as he knows what's going on.
I think most fake boobs are pretty obvious. The dead giveaway is that they don't bounce when you walk. Natural breasts jiggle when you walk....fake boobs just don't. And don't even get me started on the ones that are perfectly round and hard like softballs.
I've never seen a natural looking fake boob. Sorry.

The grapefruits like Pamela Anderson has? The stretched skin is really a frightening look.
One thing to find out about and consider is how frequently the implants will need to be replaced. Will you be able to afford it every 10 years or whatever the time is? Just because you can afford $10K (or whatever it is) today, how do you know you can do it again?
Breast implants can absolutely look natural...we're just used to seeing fake looking ones. I personally don't think it's necessary to go larger than a C or D cup. And silicone and gummy bear implants are supposed to look more natural than saline ones. I'm not sure if all plastic surgeons offer gummy bear implants though. I've desperately wanted breast augmentation for years... maybe soon enough I can afford them lol.
Definitely differences between gel, silicone and saline. I have saline as the whole silicone scare thing was going on. As they are not rock hard but definitely harder than silicone and gel. Being a dancer for 13 years I've grabbed and seen way more boobies than I should have!
Make sure you research your dr. See before/after photos. Get numbers of patients and ask them about their full experience..
No self-respecting doctor would disclose the identity or hand out the numbers of his patients.
My daughter in law has implants and they look very natural. I didn't even know they were implants until she told me. I can't vouch for how they feel.
