One of the things I like about Clarks is that they are sized true. I can buy them when they are on sale on line and very rarely is there an issue with them not fitting.
Anne Klein makes some very pretty comfortable shoes, some new flat styles that are pretty versatile.
This have poor durability. The pair I got died in a couple of months.
Kenneth Cole (I mean collection, not reaction. but reaction casuals are comfy) does a good job making comfy shoes. (Look for the ones with the 9-2-5 technology) And Geox is good as well.
Cole Haan and Stuart Weitzman - I find these 2 brands have been able to successfully balance comfort with styling. There are brands that are more attractive, and brands that are more comfy. But I cannot wear ugly shoes - even if they are the most comfortable shoes in the world, which is why you'll never see me in Uggs.
I've torn both my Achilles tendons (don't ask - ugh) so I am really, really picky about shoes now! Born and Dansko both make some fun, funky shoes that are "built to last." The first pair of Borns I ever bought are now at least ten years old and they barely look worn at all - and since they are a sort of brushed blue suede, you can imagine how often I wear them with jeans (VERY often). They still look great.
