I was just watching Top Chef, one of the chef's in the final, has obvious large moles on her face. I think she would be much better looking if the moles were removed.

Some moles are considered beauty marks, and there are models with moles on their face.

I just don't think facial moles are attractive. Go see a dermatologist...

Do you think facial moles are attractive?

Maybe some complimentary people told her it was a 'beauty spot.'

Because it's my face and I don't like the idea of burning/freezing part of it off because someone doesn't like it.

Exactly. Why should someone have to go through minor surgery (and risk possible infection and scarring) just to be 'attractive' to complete strangers?

Why should anyone do anything to conform to YOUR narrow definition of beauty?

That being said, if I had a large mass on my face, I'd probably have it removed.

They aren't detrimental to her health, and apparently don't bother her. So why should she remove them? Maybe she keeps them as a reminder of what a**holes people can be.

Who is to say when a mole is a beauty mark and when it is ugly?

She could be terrified of the process to have them removed. Some just don't take well to medical procedures, no matter how slight.

Hmmm - interesting article. It says women with moles are healthier and look younger. I have several moles on my face (and body) and I get told I look like I am in my 40s (I am 64). I did however, have three very large ones removed from my neck and back. I don't think small ones on the face like in those photos are unattractive at all. Certainly no one has ever objected to the small ones on my face.

The women in those photos are gorgeous.
