Boy-shorts or commando under loose-fitting shorts, mostly.
Sometimes cotton hi-cuts and old support panties (left over from when i needed 'em).
Pretty lacies for er um..
Thongs? NEVER!
Y-fronts, one size larger then my waist would dictate ("it" and "they" need their room).
The worst undies I ever tried were those cotton knit clingy boxer style. Horrible. Who the heck thought of that? Most uncomfortable thing I ever put on.
Serious question for women. How comfortable are thongs? They cannot be comfortable.
Honestly, I've been wearing them almost everyday for nearly ten years. Regular underwear bothers me. Thongs do not. I know people who say it doesn't bother them at all (like me) and others who can't stand them. Up to the person, I guess.
Also, the string of the thong should not be super tight and pulling up your crack---I find that many women wear underwear that is far too small for them (as demonstrated by their panty lines) and my guess is that they would do the same for thongs and then have one that is too tight and very uncomfortable. Just like how people could not conceive of wearing thongs all of the time I cannot understand how women wear super tight underwear that only covers half of their cheek---so uncomfortable.

I've never found them to be uncomfortable, personally. Feels like you are not wearing anything. And of course, no VPL.
Everyday wear are plain jane cotton undies, high cut bikini style.
