I think it's to look cool, but i'm a woman...what do I know about such things? I personally think it looks better backwards then forwards, but that's just me.
I always thought this too, but mostly when I was younger. I haven't thought about this in years though, nor have I seen anyone wear it like this in years.
Yep! I don't wear a hat to be stylish. Its a cover. Sun, rain etc. If I wear a ball cap, and turn it backward, its because I'm wearing a welding hood or crawling under something. Anytime the bill hampers operations. The style factor that many young people have in how caps are worn elludes me. Wbatever turns their crank I guess.
Some of the positions I have seen caps twisted into are....interesting. I consider it " gangsta" style.
If you're wearing something that the bill would interfere with, wear it backwards, if not , wear it the right way. These are the same guys that wear their hat in a restaurant, really cool !
I'm surprised. Neither of my boys is a catcher, but I don't recall ever seeing a catcher without a helmet.
In fact, I'm REALLY surprised in this age of concussion awareness that a child in any league would be allowed to get that close to a swinging aluminum bat, not to mention blocking the plate from careening runners, without a helmet.
