I went in to buy another bottle of Cetaphil for dry skin, and they have discontinued it! I couldn't find it anywhere online, not even ebay.

Can any of you folks suggest a substitute? I need something that has no soap at all (no SLS, etc.), and won't give me a rash.

I'm currently using baby shampoo, but it is too drying.

Thanks!!

This is what I use.. My skin is sensitive to stuff but this worked. If not, its cheap enough to throw away and try an alternative.

I swear by the Acure line - Acure Organics Facial Cleansing Creme Olive plus Mint -- 4 oz - Vitacost
They use Argan oil in everything and it's magical! I had a surgery scar that's nearly gone after using it for 6 months.

I'm an aromatherapist and have made all my own skin stuff since reading about all the harmful chemicals in our cosmetics. Acure is the first product I've found that I think is better than my home made organic recipes. I always get complimented on my skin, and I've never had a breakout (except when I used oil of olay once!)

You can find Acure at a lot of Sprouts, Whole Foods and stores like that. But Vitacost.com is about half the cost and with enough of an order you get free shipping (except to Alaska and Hawaii - then it's a flat $10)

Check out that link on the toxic chemicals. You may discover that your skin is sensitive and dry BECAUSE of the stuff you are putting on it. When I started using my homemade face wash and face creams my skin was immediately softer and healthier looking. I had no idea the junk I was putting on my face was the culprit!!

(disclaimer -- I don't work for acure, or vitacost nor do I have any connection to them at all.)

Hydrating Cleanser - CeraVe

I like using the above cleanser. It never leaves a tight or dry feeling on my skin. You can find their line at most drugstores, including Wal-Mart.

Burts Bees facial cleanser (I think it's called "deep cleansing cream" or something - there is one for sensitive skin, but I actually just use the regular one). I am allergic to everything and Cetaphil dried out my skin more than most products. But the Burts Bees doesn't at all, and it's one of very few products that doesn't give me hives.

Thank you, everyone!

I did use a Burt's Bees for a while -- it smelled great, but gave me a rash after a few weeks. The other recommendations I have not tried, but I will!

I tend to get bumpy rashes from many face washes (including Cetaphil) but can't figure out exactly what the culprit ingredient is. I have used Purpose Face Wash for years with great success. I pray they never discontinue it!

check the shelf again - the one I use has no fragrance in it. I am totally allergic to fragrance.

Seconding Purpose. I used it for years several years ago, but for some reason, stopped. I remember liking it though.

Now, I alternate between Philosophy's Purity Made Simple and Neutrogena's Ultra Gentle face Cleanser.
