I love LV but tend to shy away from their monogram lines. They are hugely counterfeited & it screams to me "Look at me, I have a Louis Vuitton!!". Which is fine & dandy for some but..... I prefer the more subtle damier azure & ebene. The EPI line is very classic too.
I think the multicolor monogram is my least favorite. It's looks very teenager & cartoonish to me. (Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone)
For someone who is a fashionable 50, other than LV & in a similar price range, I would suggest, Longchamp, TODS (LOVE Tods bags!), Mulberry, etc.. love the English classics!! Tory Burch also has some really great fun & classy bags at a reasonable cost.
I think the multicolor is played out but to each his own. Fashiohile has some great items so keep looking. Also Ann's Fabulous Finds has great stuff as well.
I have a similar looking purse, but different brand. Personally, I still love it, use it, and don't care if it looks dated or not (and yes, it looks dated). However, it does look a bit young for someone in their 50s. It's not a purse I would choose for my mother in law.
I'm considering buying it pre-owned as i always loved them but as a gift for my mom (we share purses). My questions are A) does the bag look too outdated? I dont want to look "so 2003" haha. And B) could a woman in her 50's also use it or is it too youthful?
I bought the original speedy 30 from LV in NYC. I should have never sold that purse. It's now $2500+ when I paid $1400 for it.
I still like the LV monogram especially in that because I like the colors
