It is funny how a really practical spot to get a tat, is called the tramp stamp. It is a great place to conceal at work, since no one should see your low back at work (unless you work somewhere extremely casual).
Yep...in all honesty, it's about the most conservative spot for a woman to get a tattoo. And, cosmetically, it's pretty ideal, too, as others have pointed out...not a spot that stretches with childbearing, etc.
I had a boss who would not hire women with tats at all . He made all the men in his business cover them up with long sleeve shirts or whatever , but it was his business and he could make the rules and he paid good so most of us never said a word . He used to say let us see if they like those tats when they are 70 . Yep I myself never felt the need to ink myself anywhere .

No boss would ever know if I had any unless I for some reason chose to disclose...the perk of having the two I do have on my back, unobtrusive, and small in size. A priority to me when getting mine years ago was that I be able to cover them with ease if the situation dictated. Never been a problem.

Yet I am sure his business would be more than happy to accept money from customers with tattoos showing.
I think it is called a tramp stamp because the people photographed it first were the same ladies that cropped tops, low rise jeans and visible thongs. Which is decidedly not very classy.
It may not be the classiest thing (more classy than anyone overweight), but it is sexy, and that is the point, and only a lying puritan man or a lying woman whipped man would say otherwise.

Classy is an attitude not a size.
I don't think the perceived "sexiness" has much to do with the tatt. The lower back is an erogenous zone that is usually hidden.
I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.
