Quality made clothing and footwear costs money, is something I've learned getting older.

That sounds good until your 300$ boots end up spending all their time in your closet.

If you make over 300$ in one day then it shouldn't be a problem for you. Buy whatever you want.

Otherwise, you need to be smart about how you spend your cash. You aren't going to get laid because of a nice pair of boots.

Go for it. I've come to learn that you almost always get more bang for your bucks. I'd would sure ass hell rather pay $700 for some Bally desert boots than pay $80 for some shoes at Urban Outfitters, only for it to wear out within two months.

I do not like this style for the price.Even if it is a well made shoe. There are so many great styles out there for that price.Im relieved to know they are not a womens shoe.Even for a man they look like the old timey style men worn in what the 30's-70's unless thats what your going for.Everyone has such different taste. Some people like the vintage look.I do myself in alot of ways.

A friend of mine used to go to Canada to have boots made to fit her feet. That was when the dollar was very strong, so a several hundred dollar pair of boots would be half the price. Find a boot maker and inquire about having a custom made set of boots. Much more panache in that than an off the shelf pair.

Hmmmm I haven't considered that. Now that may indeed be too rich for my blood. Particularly in NYC.
