Wearing poor fitting shoes can create a host of problems later. The most expensive pair of sneakers I bought were a 100 dollars. I have been fortunate to find good shoes for less than that most of the time. I would say my average is between 65-75 dollars.

My last two pair of sneakers have been $100-$120. I don't mind paying for good sneakers seeing as I'm on my feet all day on top of my workouts as well.

I shop around and wait for sales. The most I've ever paid was $35.00 but the original price was $145.00.

Great pair of NB.

As others have said - it depends. Are you talking about a person who just likes a variety of sneakers and wants a "different" pair to kick around in? Or a serious runner? Or a person who is on their feet all day and needs a good, comfortable yet supportive shoe. Or a person who has a really challenging foot and cannot simply buy a $30 pair of sneakers that fit?

$70. Just because it's so worth it when they feel great! Along with some new Haynes socks and I am running with a smile!

I have wide feet with high insteps and I don't overpronate. I also have bad knees. Shoes are important and I was told by my podiatrist that I needed to buy a good shoe with a certain last (shoe mold). I found it at New Balance, and luckily it came in under 100 bucks. They've made the shoe for some time.

But I hate the look of always wearing sneakers at all times, like that's my go to shoe. My go to shoe is the Land's End suede moc. And the last time I bought it, it was 50 bucks and very cheaply made.... so now I'm hunting for something else.

I buy some of my stuff on 6PM.com and I just bought a pair of running shoes for $29.99. They have some amazing sales.
