Oh, so you are talking SPECIFIC EVENT attire and not just general attire then? Women have always dressed seductively for nights out (clubs, bars, etc.) so you cant really say its "casual female fashion" as you put in you original post because that isnt what we are talking about now is it?

If we're speaking 'specific event attire', then I can see how this statement would ring true. However, in general, I don't think there's really anything skanky about today's clothing.

I don't care...I'll take all they want to show me. A few less tats and staying out of the beauty shop helps. That really, really short hair on women is starting to go now though. It doesn't hurt my feelings any.

Well extremely short dresses just seem to be the common uniform for girls going out clubbing or whatever these days.

Who's complaining except their husbands and boyfriends sitting at home?

Have you been watching Friends?

Think back to Full House - there clothes were really loose!

Are you more intimidated by girls and women in the modern, fitted dress you describe?

I think some of us just think too much about it or aren't desensitized to them. For example, I'm generally not around a lot of women, especially attractive, young women, so they're more visually distracting to me than they probably are for a guy who is surrounded by beautiful women, like in certain suburban areas. Sometimes I feel so distracted when around attractive women dressed like you describe that it's like somebody's waving softcore porn at me...I know that says stuff about me, but oh well, it is what it is.

The clothes rarely look better than naked, so why should I get wrapped up in looking at the clothes?

PS. If you have the dress from Gangster Squad, that would be enough to catch a man's eye.

Yeah I do get distracted to, I've always been like this, but i don't know, it might sound strange but it just kind of annoys me how they try so hard to be sexy/everything is so geared towards it. I find the ones who dress who casually are more chilled out and less conformist too and I like that.

These days? You should've seen what women AND men used to wear at the peak of the clubbing scene in the late 90s. Try stuff like fishnet stocking bodysuits with nothing underneath.

I like today's clothes better, but there is no way I would say it's any more revealing than clothes in the 90s, at least the clothes that teenagers and young adults wore. I was growing up in the 90s, and I thank my parents for not letting me get a bellybutton piercing. Every girl had them...midriff tops and those ugly jean short shorts were everywhere too and skirts with thigh-high slits. Also, let's not forget that those feminine baby dolls were meant to make grown women look like sexy lolitas. I did like that trend though.

I know it's easy to assume they're doing so intentionally, it's like "looking like that, how can they that not be intentional?", but I think a lot of girls aren't trying to be sexy and many don't even know they are - they just are, at least to us. Sometimes they may just be dressing in fashion or with what looks good aesthetically not realizing how sexy it is to some of us guys. I think a lot of girls don't realize how guys think either. Then again, sometimes I suspect girls are very good at pretending to be oblivious to something, either that or they're not very concious and in touch with themselves and why they do things. I think you and I both would be better served by adjusting ourselves to the reality and not being so sensitive or intimidated rather than complaining, which won't accomplish anything. I know young guys have the stereotype of being nervous and running into walls and stuff when an attractive girl is around, but to not be grown out of that stage is immaturity, I think - not good. Personally, and as a guy, I sometimes wonder if I have the same effect good looking women have on me on some women. I think I do and I just don't really realize it or see it.
