OP, sunscreen is only necessary if you are bleaching. So if you want to get lighter use sunscreen. Other than that there is really no need for dark skinned individuals to use sunscreen. One of the many benefits nature has given black men and women. Natural protection against harmful UV/UB rays.

dark skin has a natural spf 15 already, however just because you are dark doesn't mean you shouldn't wear sunscreen to protect against skin cancers like melanoma ..
Yes, you still need to wear sun block. UV rays damage skin beneath the layer so it's not always what you see in terms of color that indicate if your skin is being damaged.

Yes! Any dermatologist will tell you that regardless of skin color the sun ages your skin and too much unprotected exposure increases your risk of skin cancer. Stay healthy and youthful looking...wear the sunscreen.
