Women never listen to what a man has to say about style, color, or size anyway.
Oh, they listen....just answer this question once if it's asked ...
"Does this make my butt look big"??? lol....no matter what the answer is, right or wrong, you'll never hear the end of it!! ...lol
*I know it's all in good fun*...I wouldn't be here if it wasn't...*
Back on topic:
How much is excessive?....I'll say over 100...although, what I have I consider an excessive amount.
Ok, I’ve counted my wife’s shoes in the closet and found 88 pairs. So I’m guessing she isn’t barefooted today in the office so that makes 89 pairs total. I remember a year or so ago that she was able to give away a large box of shoes to some agency for the needy, and she said that she wouldn’t buy anymore.
However the closet is full of her shoes. How many pairs are enough? Why are there so many the same color and style? Is this normal or do I need to have the closet enlarged?
lol.
I am also a h-u-g-e fan of shoes. I currently have -runs to count shoes-37 pairs of shoes and probably wear about 5 of those pairs I'm guessing this shoe buying frenzy is normal, I knew a girl who had 43 pairs of strictly flip flops! It sounds like you might need to enlarge the closet
Okay i'm going to get philosophical with this question of 'what's excessive' when it comes to shoes :
1. If you need to add an extention to your existing home to house your shoes, that's excessive.
2. If you own 3 or more pairs of the same shoe (in different colors-- cause, you know, they have to match every outfit) then that's excessive.
3. If you are willing to purchase and wear shoes 2 sizes too small just because it's the absolute last pair available at that store, then that's excessive.
4. If you are going to postpone a vacation because you'd rather use those funds to purchase $1900 Jimmy Choo knee-high boots, then that's excessive.
5. If you're planning a vacation for the sole purpose (pun intended!) of purchasing shoes, that's excessive!
Citybythebay, goldpolkadots, Prettygyrl777 and KewGee you all seem to have a normal understanding of the amount of shoes needed and why, I appreciate the insight and information. Prettygyrl777 I have to agree with you about $1900 Jimmy Choo knee-high boots, I don’t know if I’ve seen them but I’ll know when the credit card bill comes in. Sure wouldn’t want those at my house. Come to think of it, she does have some hiking boots boxed up in the other room – I missed that in the counting.
I think this calls for a fall cleanout of the closets and garage and get some shoes moving on someone else’s feet. I’m sure that some of the pairs are too small now (only because if you don’t wear them they shrink) not because her feet are fat or anything like that.
I’m out of here before I get into more trouble. The next time the moderators move my posts I’m going to complain to upper management. ~ now back to the hardware store and other topics area.
And to answer your question citybythebay “does this make my butt look big?” Why I’ve never noticed ~ I’m always looking at the wonderful attractive eyes, smile ~ and the way you do your hair takes the attention away from everything else that a man would look at.
