I am a 19-year-old guy wearing long curly hair (I love it) and having face full of facial hair - beard etc. When other people see me for the first time, they smile at me , a lot of them (especially women aorund 25-30 do it. WHy does it take place? Should I change my look or what?
all these years, i was under the impression that smiling was a positive expression...
Unfortunately, some people smirk at others. I'm guessing that the OP wants to make sure that women aren't laughing at his appearance.

I don't know. I don't smile at men, nor exchange pleasantries with them in the street, anymore, in order to protect my boundaries (the men I came across, seemed to think that just because I said, "Hello," or acknowledged them politely, that that meant I'd be willing to have sex with them or solve their personal problems).
Since it isn't too common to see men with curly hair and full facial hair these days, perhaps, they're surprised and delighted by your appearance because you remind them of a hippie (ie: someone from their childhood).
