Alright, folks, christmas party in the office tomorrow as everything is coming to a stop.
My boss sent out a note asking everyone to come dressed properly, and she mentions me by name to come dressed like "him" LOL I'm the only guy who is formal even on Friday.
Some days ago, I got two of this tie, I found a tailor and had him convert one of the 3.5 inchers to a 2.75 skinny. That's gonna go with a dark suit. Would this tie be too loco for an office party in a public place? I'll admit it's VERY colourful. I seriously held it in my hand and admired its beauty for several minutes. It glitters. I like it. Not sure if it's too flashy.
Well around here a skinny tie is what everyone uses, I wear a fat one to stick out lol. Ain't nothing like a half-windsor knot with a fat tie as far as ties go.
skinny ties can look good too, but then you have to be skinny yourself.

I do the 2" rarely these days.
The 2.75" looks the best on me. Everybody loves it. I love it. You need that width in the bottom of the tie for an official look and the 2.75 does it right on me.
I can be called slim, not sure about skinny. How about 149 pounds on 5 9.5 or so? I've been shrinking way too much lately, owing to heavy exercising, but once I hit the early 140s, I'll have to come up with a new strategy to rebuild my physique.
As Lao puts it, trying to achieve that elusive perfect V.
