To the OP, do you have specific situations in mind? For example funerals, weddings, graduations, job interviews, beach parties, etc... there are SO many to consider.

It depends where you are and/or what you're doing for the day.

But I'm like this. I can't stand seeing people wear jeans in the middle of summer. Spring and summer should be reserved for only shorts, capris, dresses, and skirts (on women) and shorts or long shorts (on men).

Save the jeans for the cold weather season (October to February; or March; depending what region of the U.S. you live at).

The best dress code is to keep is simply remaining appropriate to the event or setting.

Wearing pajamas in public and sweat pants when not exercising should always be frowned upon.

I consider it tacky for a guy to be displaying his underwear in public.



Feminine cleavage and legs should, on the other hand, generally be encouraged.
