Not so long ago, women who went bald by choice were deemed crazy (hello, Britney Spears). But now, the look is increasingly becoming a fashion statement. Women “are either shaving the complete head or one side of the head, as we have seen with Jada Pinkett-Smith,” one barber tells AOL News.
I don't know if I could go entirely bald, but one time in my life I cut my hair very very short and kept it that way for a year. I was frustrated with my frizz and wanted something entirely different. It is amazing how many compliments I received after doing this. One year later though, I looked in the mirror and realized I hated having short hair and grew it all back long.
I think I AM going bald, although not by choice! As for whether I would voluntarily shave my head...no. I DO think it sometimes looks good on women -- Sionead O'Connor and Demi Moore (in GI Jane) spring to mind. But I don't think I'm one of those women who'd look great with no hair. I guess we'll see soon.
i wouldnt. when i was younger i had that stupid hairstyle where i had the back of my head shaved...but the line got messed up everytime i reshaved it, so the line for higher and higher...i may as well have shaved my head. i loved the freshly shaved feel of it lol...but i really love my hair.
I voted yes but honestly if I had really great hair I probably wouldn't.
But I have terrible fine thinning hair and I just wish I could shave it and be done with it.
As a fashion statement I have seen some people who look good so why not?
I have been bald four times due to chemo and medical issues. Things like the wind and water from a shower was very painful! Not the best look for me but then I do not have the bone structure to pull it off.
Im currently bald< shaved it last friday and I loveeee it!
