Ok, so now I'm in full steam ahead thinking mode to get back in shape. I always eat breakfast (usually Kashi cereal with soy milk) and then I have lunch and dinner with little snacking in between meals.
If I'm up at 5:00, doing my hard labor (feeding horses, mucking stalls and carrying water buckets) and then want to do my elliptical machine. Where am I fitting in breakfast? Do I eat before I work out or after? I always feel really hungry afterwards so I just eat breakfast then.

Any suggestions?
If your looking ti shed fat,It is always better to eat after a work out. This is to assure your body burns fat opossed to converting the meal to fuel...in other words when working hard on a EMPTY belly your body will burn the reserve which is usally fat! just make sure you eat right after a workout such as a 70% clean protein 30% carb.... water FIRST thing before anything !!...there is tons of techinal jargon on glucose ect..I will not bore you with..
^ I agree....I try to workout first thing in the morning before I eat anything....this burns more calories and allows for more body fat to be burned. Sometimes I don't get a chance to workout until after work but that works too because it's about 4 hours after my last meal.
Sometimes I feel like cardio shuts down my appetite. Luckily, lifting makes me ravenous. Just be sure to be careful what you eat and don't forget to drink lots of water.
