Anyone heard anything about this or tried it?? I keep seeing the infomercial and it keeps drawing me in....I guess though with anything that tells me I can hang off a bar to replace cardio would . Thanks!!
Its a complete waste. Sure they have a wonderful looking "model" on their website demonstrating it, saying "You can have the workout that ballerina's do....." blah blah blah. But they fail to tell you about all the other strengthening, stretching and especially eating methods that ballerinas have to do to get their shape.
Nothing replaces cardio. Nothing. Spend your money on something else. You'll probably be happier with just throwing your money in the fire.
I have it in my garage right now, but haven't tried it. I thought I looked like something I can do post mastectomy in the better than nothing category. I am never doing those bouncy, bouncy and cardio things, but I'm into the pilates, yoga and stretching type of stuff.
Fludity is a more updated version of Callanetics and Lotte Berk type exercises. It is not a bad workout, expecially for lower body. There is no pounding of the joints as there is in a cardio class. Yes, they always use thin, young gals in the info commercials. But don't let that discourage you! I have taught these type of exercises for years!

If you don't want to spend the $$ for Fluidity Go the your local library, they still may have, and check out the old Callanetics videos. They are pretty much the same. Do at least 3 times a week. Most of the focus is on lower body. You might also want to check out The Bar Method video, (Lotte Berk format in which Callanetics derived from), is pretty good, for the price. The Lotte Berk tapes are very repetative and I didn't think as good. You can check out College Videos and see some of the exercies and read reviews.
These are a different type of workout and no the traditional lunges, squats, etc. More stretching is emphasised.
Thanks! I will check to see if my library carries those videos.
