after exercising for about two weeks, i find that i am eating less, but not because i am trying to eat less. i still get my nutrients, but i no longer have hunger pains or cravings for junk food. i dont even feel like drinking alcohol as much when i get out of work on friday. anyone else experience this slight or moderate decrease in appetite?

Definitely. As long as my exercise is fairly intense, I am less hungry. When it is easy to moderate I am starving! I stick with intervals for this reason.

I never crave junk foods, but the harder I work out the more I need to eat proteins and veggies. OP, what type of exercise do you do, and what is your approx body fat %?

It has the opposite effect for me. Whenever I workout--moderate or intense, I'm starving after.

I am starving after every workout. Especially after a hard lower body one!

Long endurance stuff, like a bike ride for a couple of hours, makes me ravenous.

An hour of the Crossfit kind of stuff kills my appetite for several hours afterward.

My answer depends on whether you're talking about the feeling soon after exercise or my total food consumption in general. Intense exercise depresses my appetite for a while afterward--maybe an hour or two. Once my body recovers from the feeling of post-exercise intensity, my appetite returns. In general, I have a greater appetite, and tend to consume more food overall, during periods where I'm getting a good amount of exercise than I have during injury layoffs with only light exercise or stretches of moderate exercise.
