There are concerns over the hygiene of the dolls.

After just nine days in operation, Italy's first and only sex doll brothel was raided and shut down by police. The establishment, located in Turin, allegedly violated laws related to renting accommodations, the Local reports. Authorities also are looking into whether the "silicone sex workers"—which police seized in the raid—are cleaned properly after they are used, per RT, which adds that brothel owners say the dolls get a two-hour cleanup after each client.

Really now. I'm starting to wonder about the human race. I ignored this whole sex doll thing because I thought it would never get off the ground.

WTF???

Is this some crazy joke? What the hell is going on here?

You would have thought that they would just buy a doll if they were in to that kind of perversion.

Why buy the cow?

Seriously though, those dolls are more expensive than those depraved clients could ever afford. I'm pretty sure they'd only get about 90 seconds worth out of the doll, so what about the rest of the 23 hrs and 58.5 minutes it would just be taking up room?

You can buy a sex doll.

Japanese sex dolls are now so life-like they're being mistaken for the real thing.
