Russia to begin building the Meridian Highway. Its portion of the Silk Roads highway system that will go from Hamburg to Hong Kong. It will enter Russia in the area of Smolensk and exit Russia through Khazahkstan.

It's going to go through the Altai and Himalayas. That's going to be one hell of a drive.

The anti-Russia campaign didn't amp up until the US/NATO takeover of Ukraine and Syria were thwarted. The use of battle units modeled after the Contras in various wars by the US was not enough to overcome a well-supplied militia or a conventional military force, especially when backed by air power and counterinsurgency forces. Propaganda is a key element in the irregular wars waged by the US since the public distrusted the government after the invasion of Iraq and the subsequent abuses in rendition and torture of Iraqi civilians.

Propaganda isn't even working that well lately. It appears the American public holds the thought of another war in the ME in utter contempt. American politicans are looked down upon almost universally, in some ways the public is smartening up. There's still that small minority of dumbasses that can screw up everything though.

Americas foreign policy is a train wreck.

I really think Russia is heading in the right direction. The new atomic reactors are not even close to Chernobyl in design and as safe as they can get. The world needs to go in the direction of atomic power along with wind and solar as much as possible.

There are so many things to be done with this. Floating cities on the sea and even under the waves. Launch facilities on the oceans, deep sea mining. One of the biggest obstacles to exploitation of the oceans has been adequate power supplies while there. This floating power plant opens so many doors.

Iraq implicated not only the government, but the media as well.

There is probably a lot of distrust of US sources because the population is becoming more diverse and people originating from other countries have outside sources for information.

There is also a large segment of the public who relies on the government for jobs. One way to build support for military intervention is to have a big military budget in peacetime. That segment will repeat the lies as it's in their own economic interest. Most people with no personal stake in the war will be disinterested.

Your average Mexican immigrant doesn't really have stake in this new cold war, nor do the Asian peoples coming to this country. As a matter of fact many of them can point to injustices inflicted on them or their ancestors easily enough. I am on good terms with a 40 ish something lady from Equador. She did not leave her country 25 years ago because she hated it, she left because the corrupt system imposed on it's people by American colonial policy and institutions such as the IMF. She's very intelligent and a master of organizational arts and a devout Roman Catholic. Her loyalties and many people like her are not what you'd think when it comes to politics.

On the 3 girls who killed their father.

I don't like the order that they're supposed to be kept in isolation, especially from one another. In custody of guardians yes, but not isolated.

No news about their mother either.

I wish them the best.

From what I hear/read the S-400 is pretty lethal and along with such systems as the modernized S-300 and Pantsirs working together any aggressor is going to have a hard time flying let alone doing the mission.

That's what I like about Russian AA systems. It's not about attrition, it's about interdiction. You mess up the other guys plans and keep him from being effective. An attacker devoted huge amounts of resources into an operation with a clear precise goal in mind. That's difficult to do even with air superiority due to the fog of war. Throw AA systems like what Russia has into the mix and a good result is next to impossible and costly even more so when you fail.

The risk reward ratio is NOT in the attackers favor.
