Tv and radio and the internet is full of controversial hosts, both liberal and conservative, whether they believe half of what they say I dont know, but it sells, the question I have is how do these people survive the real world,I mean alex jones is about as out there as you can get, has he ever been refused service in a restaurant or intentional been given bad service or maybe had to sit next to someone on a plane that wanted to punch his lights out? or does the public just right them off as entertainment and leave them alone??

Interesting question. I hope more people answer. I have no idea, but I would have difficulty being even basically courteous to a few.
I've been around a few radio "personalities." The ego in some of them is painfully overbearing. There is one of them in Vermont that I had a couple of encounters with while I was a kid. He served as an excellent example of people to avoid as I grew up.
I'm not sure what it is about radio that attracts these losers and their hate. Before radio, a few bar fights would have knocked some sense and courtesy into them.
During the most recent campaign (he's a freshman) he dismissed all the things he'd said on the radio by claiming that he was just being provocative because that was his job. In other words, if the useful idiots wanted to hear him say repugnant things, by golly he was going to say repugnant things. After all, there was a buck to be made doing it, and there can be no loftier goal than wealth by any means necessary.
Of course, he could just be lying.
And I'm not sure which is worse...
