I am wondering if there are any cities that still use analog police radios, so that you can listen to the officers talk back and forth to dispatch and to each other.
The days of analog police radio are over,if you want to hear them now you need some very expensive scanning equipment.
While i no longer listen to the cops or cellphones i do enjoy listening to the aircraft band and sometimes when i'm fishing the marine band,i've tried listening to car racing sporting events on my scanner but just too chaotic to derive any pleasure.

That link does not work. Also are there any police or EMS departments that are digital but let you listen to all their communications not just dispatch?
Sorry about that link,i usually double check.
Its a picture of my analog Radio Shack 60 channel hand held programmable scanner.= http://img0124.psstatic.com/18246209...ect-entry-.jpg
I dont think police or Ems department care too much if you are listening as they rely on the technology of their radio equipment to keep the general public out.
To get to their fully encrypted digital communications you have to have a scanner that can decode trunked communication and sort out digital spread spectrum technology, very expensive equipment is needed.
A good read on scanners= http://www.hamuniverse.com/scanner.html
That said there seems to be apps out there that will give you live police radio transmissions.
