Little Caesar's Pizza Commercial (TV, tv commercials)

Can someone please explain to me what, exactly, is a "Little Caesar's Pizza Show", and what does it have to do with $5 pizzas? I must be dense or something, but the last I knew, the price of a pizza had nothing to do with entertainment (well, unless it's at Chuck E Cheese).

You sound like me, I also find myself getting vaguely annoyed at the stupidity of some TV commercials. I literally turn the channel sometimes if something just offensively stupid comes on.
