Bill Watterson did it right. He said what he had to say, the way he wanted to say it, and then he was done. It never got stale, never jumped the shark. And it was all about the comic strip, never anything else - no t-shorts or stuffed toys or posters.
Loved it as a kid, got the box set as an adult and really discovered what it was all about.
