Anyone listening to Obamas speech now?

It looks like he is going to take office with determination and is going to do all he can to keep his promise of health care for those who do not have it.

I salute him for it.

Those of us who have it are fine he wont touch it so no need to start with the social health care farce.

Those who do not have it which grow in numbers daily might finally have someone who is going to try to give it to them like every civilized country does except us.

I hope we reduce foreign aid by 50% if not more and FOR ONCE look after our own citizens.

Yeah, as usual, he's coming off great - even the part now where he is speaking of the Governor corruption scandal.

He's a pretty up-front no-nonsense kind of guy.

He will do more to give Americans affordable health care than any other politician - past or present...

And his condemnation of the Blogojevich corruption scandal was refreshing - he really is going to bring a higher level of ethical conduct to government!!!

He has a policy in his own administration that if you serve on his team, and then leave, you cannot lobby at all until his administration is over... even if it is a 2 term administration...

Noe one before has put anti-lobbying rules in effect as tough as that - he's setting a very good example...

He didn't intimate anything of the sort - stop grasping at straws... stop spinning things and totally misrepresenting what others say...

I also like his idea to limit overall health care costs by eliminating the Bureaucratic paper work in favor of a comprehensive electronic health care IT system. Plus, he often mentions that the health care crisis goes hand-in-hand with our economic crisis as a whole. How true.

Yup.

Health Care costs is of course a huge issue - one that is going to affect more and more Americans as the Recession deepens. Right now many of those folks with employer-paid health care are oblivious to just how vulnerable they really are - but as more and more people lose their jobs the reality of just how unaffordable and unworkable the current system is will begin to strike home. The fact is, if you lose your job for any reason, chances are pretty darned great that you will soon be without any health care at all unless and until you become an emergency room case - which can often come too late - and is certainly a much more expensive way of dealing with medical problems.

Even if he was involved, which he wasn't..even the prosecutor says that, his people told the governor that he'd get NOTHING for his old senate seat. Nice try though.
