For the past eight years, George Bush watched, and assisted as some eight to twelve million illegal migrants crashed U.S. borders to displace American workers while they wreaked chaos in American schools, hospitals and prisons. At press conferences, he said, “They do the jobs that Americans won’t do.” While reports show illegal aliens killed more Americans via drunk driving, murders and rapes than combat soldiers suffered death in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr. Bush no longer speaks about illegal migrants doing the jobs that Americans won’t do. Gees! Can’t figure that one out now, can we?

At the same time, Bush and Congress gave away jobs by pushing for millions of H1-B and H2-B visas for foreign workers to displace American jobs. Bush worked hardest at offshoring, outsourcing and offshoring American jobs. He and Congress killed U.S. manufacturing. He finished the job that Clinton started!

Frosty Wooldridge -- Good-Bye and Good Riddance Mr. Bush

Even sadder is the fact that he and all of those involved in this 8 year shell game of American and worldwide destruction will walk away 10 times wealthier with no punishment or regrets.

Agreed. I'd even go so far as to say 15 years down the road history will be spun to reflect the invasion of Iraq as being genius and insightful.

There are literally hundreds of things he's screwed up. There is not one Department in the Federal Government that hasn't been touched by corruption or incompetence.

It really shows that right wingers should stay out of government. Somebody who's so liberal and has contempt for Capitalism would not make a good CEO. Right wingers have contempt for government, they should stay out of it and stick to what they do well...private enterprise.

Yes, they will walk away with no punishment and perhaps even no regrets, at least on a personal level. Like most things, however, this is probably a "mixed bag". It was through the grave excesses and lack of sound judgement of the Bush administration that the election of a young, very smart, very ethical new president - elect will be given the chance to make the large "course corrections" that we so desperatly need! Without the total disaster of the Bush administration, this would not have happened. . . yet. . . . we could have had many more years of downward spiraling, for the "average" american, along with growing wealth for the rich and powerful, and without the current financial crisis, our country, as a whole, would not have had the foresight to vote for real change!
Yes, Obama faces many very difficult problems in January, and Bush still has 2 months to further complicate and worsen our situation, it will take time, and maybe a lot of time, to "fix" the problems of the past 12 years, but it will happen! Thank you President Bush!

It won't take that long for bush to be ensconced at his "EXTRADITION FREE" Paraguay ranch.

It won't take that long for all those in the bush administration to wallow in their ill-gotten wealth...their mission , destroying the U.S., having been accomplished.

I'm not going to argue with anyone who says they will be glad to see the Bush presidency end. Whether or not we have someone better is fodder for a different thread. However:

I sincerely hope you don't think that Obama (or even McCain had he won) is going to do anything earth-shattering to address this issue. Both candidates were publicly for open borders and I think that the immigration policies of both of them....sucked...for lack of a better word.

in two short paragraphs or less, please lay out your comprehensive immigration policy that doesn't come off as xenophobic or bigoted
