This was sent to me by a co-worker. Some of the links, such as those digging into his citizenship--well, I put those aside. There are far more things to be concerned about at this point. The big factors to me are: the balance of power (or lack thereof with a Pelosi controlled Congress), the Fairness Doctrine, foreign policy, his previous voting record/political history and of course, "redistributing the wealth".

Did Obama play a role in the economic conditions that have engulfed our country? Is it a coincidence that our economic troubles have made his candidacy running on hope and change so appealing? Who is really responsible - Bush, the republicans, the democrats, or capitalism gone wild?

Who is Obama really? Why is there such a mystery surrounding his actual birthplace, ethnicity, and religion? Is there any truth to the allegations that he was born in Kenya, is actually Arab-American, and was once a practicing and devoted Muslim as he has persistently denied? Does this raise any other questions? Should any of this really matter?
Is it true that socialist Libyan leader Al-Qadhafi actually called Obama his "brother," recognizes Obama as a Muslim, knows of other Islamic nations supporting him, and believes (according to Islamic tradition) that lying is permissible to get elected?
Who is Obama's cousin, Kenya leader Odinga? Did Obama have anything to do with the rioting, genocide, establishment of Islamic law, and the burning to death of Christians in churches following his visit there? Did we really pay for that trip with our tax dollars?
Is the court case against Obama regarding his citenship status a smear campaign? Are there any actual documents to support those claims? Is it legal for a non-citizen to run for President of the United States?
What is Black Liberation Theology? Is it Marxist? Why is that relevant to understanding the goals and motives of Obama's campaign? Note: the video link covers much ground. The theology question is presented in the second half.
Does it seem strange that Obama's pastor for 20 years believes, like Al-Qadhafi, it is permissable for Obama to lie to get elected? What other questions should this raise? (Pastor Wright's comment regarding this is at 5:23 into the video).
What is the Freedom of Choice Act, and would it really wipe out all legal restrictions to partial birth abortion, parental consent laws, tax-funded abortions, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, and more?
What is the democrat sponsored Fairness Doctrine? Would it really put an end to conservative talk-radio and other media outlets including web content? Would Pelosi and a democrat-controlled congress make this into law?
What does Robert McDowell, the FCC Commissioner think of the Fairness Doctrine? Will the bill be camouflaged by democrats to become law without the public's knowledge?

I've seen people in both camps on this forum get pretty rude but I'd have to give the gold medal to the Obama supporters over the McCain supporters for the sheer volume of name calling, rudeness, temper tantrums, etc. I've had to report at least one post on this thread already. It was a personal attack on me. Not necessary and very kindergarten-ish. Criticize the post all you want. Live and let live.
Advice to you! I am not voting for either clown but if you really want to convince someone about who the "real" Barack Obama, please get some new talking points!. All this junk you posted has been discussed at least 1000 times for the last year. It just get so annoying when you hear the same crap everyday, over and over and over. As someone from Chicago who knows all about Obama, I find it so humorous that his supporters try and explain it all away.
Definitely the easy way out. To believe otherwise would require critical thinking.
I guess I am too much of an independent thinker to be impressed by the scripted smooth talk (total BS), the quiet demeanor, the Greek columns, the celebrity endorsements and the media manipulation and hype.

As long as the Republican Party caters to and sucks up to the radicals I will never vote for any Republican. Religious Radicals are ugly, hateful beasts. They try to mix politics with religion...just like radical groups like the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Just because these radically religious groups are in America it doesn't make them any less scary than radical muslims. We have lots of religious terrorists that are American born and bred...they bomb abortion clinics, kill doctors and harass women.
